Trish Chipman

Occupational Therapist

Trish is an Occupational Therapist who has worked at DMRC Headley Court, initially with patients being treated following Complex Trauma and then in the Specialist Rehabilitation team treating patients with conditions such as persistent pain and fatigue.

Trish qualified in 1987 in South Africa and worked in a variety of fields including major orthopaedic and spinal trauma and burns rehabilitation. She came to the UK in 1993 and subsequently worked in the NHS for 20 years in community settings, residential and acute hospital settings.

During her years at Headley Court, Trish developed a special interest in helping people with sleep disturbance, chronic pain and other bio-psychosocial problems through the use of mindfulness, education and functional support.
