Remedy Healthcare UK have partnered with ProActive Prosthetics to offer a specialist amputee service for referrers who see the value in a joined up prosthetic and rehabilitation programme. The multi-disciplinary team offers a Specialist Amputee Needs Assessment Clinic (SANAC) and Report writing service that can be accessed for pre-amputation, post-elective amputation or post-traumatic amputation assessments.

 

Following the clinic assessment, our rehabilitation services offer a tailor made and conjoined pathway with access to the expertise from both Remedy Healthcare UK and ProActive Prosthetics throughout the rehabilitation pathway. We provide a consultant-led, multi-disciplinary team to assess and make recommendations regarding your client's clinical and rehabilitation requirements.

 

The specialist team includes medical, prosthetist, orthotist, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation instruction and has the option to include additional therapeutic disciplines based on the client's needs, such as clinical psychology and mild traumatic brain injury intervention.  This negates the usual need for referrers to source multiple clinical services in order to fulfil a client's various therapeutic requirements.

Our recommendations clearly outline immediate problem areas and possible solutions, rehabilitation needs and objectives, as well as a cost break down of recommended prostheses, equipment and rehabilitation requirements. This initial assessment and report can be an independent service or serve as an initial pre-admission clinic for our rehabilitation programmes. Our SANAC is predominantly run from the ProActive clinic in Godalming, Surrey although we do have the flexibility to run clinics elsewhere in South East England.

​We do understand that some individuals have an alternative prosthetic provider and we are very happy to work alongside alternative prosthetic providers in these situations.
