Clare Williams

Clare is a Physiotherapist specialising in Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee and Peripheral Nerve Injury rehabilitation. She has a special interest in the use of Neuro-Muscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) and Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES).

Clare qualified in 2000 and completed NHS rotations at the Royal Free Hospital before moving to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. She joined the Complex Trauma team at DMRC Headley Court during the height of the conflict and was one of the lead therapists there for 9 years before spending a year assisting the team with its transition to DMRC Stanford Hall.

Clare enjoys supporting others to achieve their potential and knows that rehabilitation doesn’t stop when someone leaves hospital. She is an adaptive waterski instructor and yoga teacher, and in 2005 co-founded the adaptive sports charity Access Adventures.
